Seven Spooky Cocktails To Serve This Halloween

If you’re holding a Halloween party this year, you can amaze, scare and delight your guests with a selection of cocktails from our fun and gruesome list. Some of them are a little more difficult or time-consuming to make than others but they are all well worth trying if you want to make a great impression on friends and family this Halloween. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out our collection of copper mugs, which are ideal for cocktails and can be personalized with your own choice of engraving.

Our Top Seven Halloween Cocktail Recipes

Whether you serve them in beautiful solid copper mugs from our store or glasses that you already have at home, the following cocktails are sure to go down well at your Halloween party:

  • Witches Brew – We’re going to kick off with quite an easy cocktail. Witches Brew is a mix of Midori (1.5 ounces), Cointreau (1.5 ounces), and fresh lemon juice (1 ounce). The Midori, which is a melon liqueur, lends this cocktail a spooky neon green color. For extra impact, drop a one-inch chunk of dry ice into the liquid before serving then watch it bubble and smoke.
  • Tart Cherry Eyeball Punch – For this ghoulish cocktail, you will need the following ingredients: a 15-ounce can of lychees, six ounces of blackberries, four cups of tart cherry juice, one cup of fresh orange juice, 12 ounces of cold sparkling water, and one ½ cups of vodka or golden rum. First of all, you need to drain the lychees and put aside one ½ cups of the syrup they were in. Now take the blackberries and stuff one inside each lychee. Finally, stir all the ingredients together, save the stuffed lychees and sparkling water, which can be added before serving.
  • Poison Apple Cocktails – To make one of these dangerous-looking drinks, you'll need a third of a cup of cider, a third of a cup of cranberry juice, two ounces of fireball, one ounce of grenadine, ice and, most important of all, a quarter of a teaspoon of edible, gold-colored glitter. Simply combine all the ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice then shake until thoroughly mixed. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use your food blender instead. As the main attraction of these cocktails is the dramatic swirly appearance that the glitter creates, you’ll want to serve them in clear glasses rather than our wholesale copper mugs.
  • Black Magic Margaritas – For two of these dark and wicked-looking cocktails, you will need to gather together the following ingredients: two tablespoons of black sanding sugar, two cups of ice, four ounces of silver tequila, two ounces of triple sec, ½ a cup of lime juice, a few drops each of red, blue and green food coloring, and some lime slices for garnish. First, you need to rim the two glasses with a lime slice then dip them in black sanding sugar. Next, take half of the tequila, lime juice and triple sec for each glass and mix them together well. Finally, add a few drops of each type of food coloring until you are left with a murky, black liquid and garnish with ice and a slice. Served in personalized, copper mugs, Black Magic Margaritas make great welcome drinks that will help to get your Halloween party off to the best start possible.
  • Sweet Poison Cocktail – Before you start mixing one of these beautiful drinks, you will need to make sure that you have an ounce of light rum, two ounces of coconut rum, one ounce of blue Curacao, some pineapple juice, a handful of ice, and a pineapple wedge. Mix the two types of rum and the blue Curacao together in a shaker that’s filled with ice then pour into your glass. Top off the glass with pineapple juice and a wedge of pineapple for garnish. The resulting cocktail should be a gorgeous mix of green and blue.
  • Apricot Bourbon Brew – This delicious cocktail will add some lovely splashes of traditional Halloween orange to your party. Simply mix together one ½ ounces of good bourbon, six ounces of apricot juice or tropical fruit juice, and a drop of Angostura bitters before pouring over ice. As this is one of the easier cocktails to make on our list, it’s a great one to hand out in the middle of the party when guests don’t want to wait too long for their next drink.
  • Cider Sidecars – These attractive yellow cocktails are also fairly simple to make and contain both cider and lemon juice, which can be found in some of the other drinks on this list. All this goes to make them a convenient and tasty addition to our Halloween cocktail menu. To make a single Cider Sidecar, you need to put two ounces of apple cider, two ounces of cognac, one ounce of Cointreau and one ounce of lemonade in a cocktail shaker, then top off the mixture with ice. Keep shaking the shaker until it feels really cold to the touch, with condensation forming on the outside. Finally, strain the resulting liquid into a coupe and garnish with lemon zest and brandied cherries.
  • If you’re looking for attractive gifts to give out at your Halloween cocktail party, a custom copper mug or Moscow mule mug from our stunning collection of solid copper mugs are both excellent choices, and can be used to serve the cocktails too.
